Summary (Plain English)

FilterProof is a job search workspace. You collect your own career evidence, compare it against job descriptions, and build tailored application packages from what you have actually done. These terms describe what we provide, what you agree to, and what we do not promise.

  • Your work stays yours. We need permission to process it in order to run the features you ask for, and nothing more.
  • FilterProof does not guarantee that you will pass an applicant tracking system, get an interview, or be hired. Nobody can honestly guarantee that.
  • Passes are one-time purchases and do not auto-renew. “Keep it” is a monthly subscription that continues until you cancel.
  • You can export your data or delete your account yourself, at any time.

Who We Are

FilterProof is operated by Halite Mission Systems LLC, an Arizona limited liability company. “FilterProof” is the name of the service, not a separate company. You can reach us at contact@filterproof.ai. In these terms, “FilterProof”, “we”, and “us” mean Halite Mission Systems LLC, and “you” means the person using the service.

What FilterProof Does

FilterProof lets you set job search goals, keep a profile, collect career evidence on a Memory Board, talk with an evidence-discovery chat to surface things you had forgotten, compare your experience against job descriptions, and generate application packages — resumes, cover letters, and fit summaries — built from your own saved evidence.

Some features use AI services to read and write text. What that means for your data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Your Account

You sign in with Google, with LinkedIn, or with an email sign-in link. We do not use or store passwords. Authentication is handled by Supabase.

You are responsible for the email account and sign-in provider you use to reach FilterProof. Anyone with access to that email can request a sign-in link, so keep it secure and tell us at contact@filterproof.ai if you believe someone else has reached your account.

FilterProof is a career tool intended for adults who are searching for jobs. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly provide it to them.

Your Content, and the Permission We Need

Your content remains yours, and FilterProof does not claim ownership of it. You retain whatever rights you already hold in material you provide. Third-party material, including job postings, remains owned by its respective owner. You give FilterProof only the limited permission needed to store, process, and display that material back to you while providing the features you request.

To provide the features you ask for, you give us permission to store, process, and display your content back to you, and to send it to the service providers listed in the Privacy Policy — currently Supabase for storage and authentication, Vercel and Render for hosting and processing, Stripe for payments, SendGrid for email, and OpenAI (with Anthropic as a fallback) for the AI features. This permission exists so the product can run. It does not let us sell your content, publish it, share it with employers, use it to serve advertising, or aggregate it across users, and we do not do those things.

You are responsible for having the right to give us the content you upload. Do not upload another person’s resume or personal information without their permission, and do not upload material you are not permitted to share — for example, an employer’s confidential or proprietary documents.

Generated materials — the resume text, cover letter, and fit summary FilterProof builds from your evidence — are yours to use. You are responsible for reviewing them before you send them to anyone, which brings us to the next section.

What FilterProof Does Not Promise

We do not guarantee any hiring outcome. FilterProof does not promise that your resume will pass an applicant tracking system, that you will be shortlisted, that you will get an interview, or that you will be hired. Applicant tracking systems behave differently from one another, recruiters and hiring managers apply their own judgement, and hiring decisions depend on many things outside this product. Any service that guarantees those outcomes is not being straight with you.

What FilterProof does is help you present real experience more clearly: better alignment with a posting’s language, visible keyword gaps, and application materials grounded in evidence you actually have.

You are responsible for what you send. FilterProof is built to avoid inventing experience you do not have, and it flags claims your evidence does not support. It is still software, and it can be wrong. Read what it produces before you use it. You — not FilterProof — are making the representations in your job application.

Scores and fit summaries are signals, not verdicts. An alignment score describes how well a document matches a posting. It is not a rating of you, your abilities, or your worth as a candidate, and it does not predict what an employer will do.

Plans, Payments, and Billing

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. Prices are in US dollars and are shown on the pricing page before you buy; the amount and billing frequency are also shown by Stripe on its checkout page before you confirm.

Current billing terms:

  • Free — $0. One tailored resume and cover letter, and the full collect, chat, and fit flow. Your work is saved to your account.
  • One-time package — $10, charged once. A single package credit. It does not expire, and it is used when a package is built.
  • 1-Month Pass — $15, charged once. Runs for 30 days. The 30 days start when you buy it, not when you first use it. It does not renew and you will not be charged again.
  • 3-Month Pass — $33, charged once. Runs for 90 days, starting at purchase. It does not renew and you will not be charged again.
  • Keep it — $6 per month. This one is a subscription: it renews automatically every month, and continues until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time from Account → Plan & billing. Canceling stops the next renewal and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for; your saved data is retained as described in the Privacy Policy.

If a charge is fully refunded, the access it paid for ends. If a subscription is cancelled, the access it provided ends when the period you have paid for ends.

If you have an active subscription and want to delete your account, cancel the subscription first — this is enforced deliberately, so you are never left paying for an account you can no longer reach.

We may change prices or plans. A change never applies retroactively to a Pass or credit you have already bought. For an active subscription, we will tell you before a changed price applies to it, so you can cancel first if you would rather not continue.

Refunds

Refunds are available for purchases you have not used, within 14 calendar days of the purchase. “Unused” means no paid package, report, or other paid entitlement has been consumed on that purchase.

The unused-purchase refund policy applies to eligible Pass and package purchases. Keep It subscription payments are non-refundable and are not prorated for the current billing period except where required by law. Canceling Keep It stops the next renewal, and access continues through the end of the paid billing period.

  • 1-Month and 3-Month Passes. Full refund if you ask within 14 calendar days of purchase and you have not used any paid entitlement. Once you have used a paid entitlement there is no refund, and no partial or pro-rated refund. The Pass term still runs from the date of purchase, so time that has passed is not added back.
  • One-time package ($10). Full refund if you ask within 14 calendar days and the package credit is completely unused. A credit that has been consumed is not refundable, except where the law requires it. There is no partial refund.
  • Keep it ($6/month). Canceling stops the next renewal. You keep access for the rest of the month you have already paid for — canceling does not cut off access you have bought. There is no refund, and no partial or pro-rated refund, for the current billing period, except where the law requires it.

Duplicate charges, charges made in error, and refunds required by law are always honored, whatever the above says.

To ask for a refund, email contact@filterproof.ai from the address on your account, and tell us which purchase you mean — the plan name and the approximate purchase date are enough for us to find it. If a refund is issued, the access it paid for ends.

FilterProof's Own Rights, and What You May Do With the Service

Halite Mission Systems LLC and its licensors own the FilterProof software, design, branding, documentation, and the original content of the service. That ownership does not extend to your content, or to third-party material such as job postings — those are covered in the section above.

While your account is in good standing, you have a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use FilterProof for its intended purpose: running your own job search. That right is a permission to use the service, not a transfer of anything in it.

You may not:

  • resell, sublicense, rent, or otherwise make the service available to others;
  • copy or reproduce the software, design, or branding;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the service;
  • systematically extract the service or its output at scale — by scraping, bulk export, or automated collection — whether to build a competing product, a dataset, or anything else.

Where applicable law expressly gives you one of these rights regardless of what a contract says — interoperability rights are the usual example — that law wins and this section does not restrict you.

Acceptable Use

When you use FilterProof, you agree not to:

  • Upload another person’s personal information, or material you do not have the right to share.
  • Use FilterProof to create job application materials that misrepresent someone’s experience — including by editing generated text to add experience the person does not have.
  • Attempt to bypass the rate limits, entitlement checks, or access controls that determine what your plan allows.
  • Attempt to reach another user’s account or data.
  • Use the service to build a competing dataset — for example, by systematically extracting generated output at scale.
  • Interfere with the service’s operation, or with the third-party services it depends on.

FilterProof reads job postings only from sources whose terms allow it, and never from gated job boards such as LinkedIn or Indeed. When a posting is on a restricted site, you paste the text yourself — and by doing so you confirm you are permitted to.

Availability and Changes to the Service

FilterProof is under active development. Features change, and some are made available to a limited group before a wider release. We may add, change, or remove features.

We aim to keep the service available but do not promise uninterrupted access. Maintenance, third-party outages, and faults will sometimes make it unavailable.

If we remove a feature that a Pass or subscription you are paying for depended on, contact us at contact@filterproof.ai and we will sort it out with you.

Ending Your Account

You can leave at any time. Account deletion is self-service, from Account → Settings → Privacy & data. It asks you to type a confirmation phrase because it cannot be undone. What is deleted and what is retained is set out in the Privacy Policy; in short, your workspace content goes, and payment records are kept where we are required to keep them.

We may suspend or end an account that is being used in the ways described under Acceptable Use, or where we are required to by law. Except where something is seriously or repeatedly wrong, we will contact you first and give you a chance to respond. If we end a paid account for a reason that is not your fault, contact us about the unused portion.

Disclaimer of Warranties

FilterProof is provided “as is” and “as available”. In plain terms, we do not promise:

  • that the service will be available without interruption, or free of errors;
  • that the third-party services FilterProof depends on — sign-in, payments, model providers, email — will be available or behave as expected;
  • that anything FilterProof generates is complete, accurate, or appropriate to send without your review. Generated material is a draft for you to check, not a finished document;
  • that using FilterProof leads to a job, an interview, a particular applicant tracking system result, or any other hiring outcome. Nobody can honestly promise that.

To the maximum extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

This does not take away rights you cannot legally be asked to give up. Some places give consumers guarantees that cannot be excluded; where that is so, those rights apply and nothing here overrides them. This section also does not excuse us from things we expressly promise to do elsewhere in these terms.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability to you for all claims relating to FilterProof is limited to the greater of:

  • what you paid Halite Mission Systems LLC for FilterProof in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim; or
  • USD $100.

To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-opportunity damages — including lost jobs, lost interviews, lost income, or lost data — even if we were told such damages were possible.

These limits do not apply to:

  • liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law;
  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
  • willful misconduct;
  • gross negligence, where the law does not permit limiting it;
  • mandatory consumer rights that the law reserves to you.

Laws differ from place to place, and we do not claim these limits are effective everywhere. Where a limit is not enforceable where you live, it simply does not apply to you.

Indemnification

To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover us for third-party claims that arise from:

  • content you upload, or that you instruct FilterProof to send or distribute;
  • infringement of someone else’s rights caused by content you supplied;
  • your unlawful use of the service;
  • your material breach of the Acceptable Use section above;
  • intentional misrepresentation of your qualifications or experience in materials you send.

This is deliberately narrow. It does not cover your ordinary, good-faith use of FilterProof, mistakes caused by us, model output you have not altered or misused, or anything unrelated to your content or to prohibited conduct.

If we ask you to cover a claim, we will tell you promptly, give you the information you reasonably need, and let you take over the defense with counsel of your choice — provided any settlement that admits fault on our part, or binds us to do something, needs our agreement first.

Governing Law and Venue

FilterProof is operated by Halite Mission Systems LLC, an Arizona limited liability company.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without giving effect to conflict-of-law rules that would apply another state’s law.

Disputes that reach a court will be brought in:

  • the Arizona state courts located in Maricopa County; or
  • the United States District Court for the District of Arizona, for matters within federal jurisdiction.

Where the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally, or protects you under your own consumer law, this section does not take that away.

Resolving Disputes

Talk to us first. If something goes wrong, email contact@filterproof.ai with a written notice describing the problem and what you would like us to do about it. We will do the same if we have a dispute with you.

Both of us then have 30 calendar days from that notice to try, in good faith, to sort it out. If it is still unresolved after 30 days, either of us may go to court, in the venue described above.

You keep your right to small-claims court. If your claim qualifies for a small-claims court that can hear it, you may bring it there instead, at any time.

There is no mandatory arbitration here, and no class-action waiver. We have not asked you to give up the right to go to court or to join with others.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will tell you by email or through a notice in the product. If you keep using FilterProof after a change takes effect, that is your acceptance of the updated terms.
